This global logistics company is a recognised market leader. Amongst others, they serve some of the world's largest retailers and fashion brands. Primarily combining a strong origin management product, their shipping line activities and digital solutions. 

I co-developed the structure and logic of their commercial learning academy, and have developed and delivered value selling trainings to their senior sales teams around the world. I also facilitated sessions on commercial acumen and client centricity for their global talent and graduate programs.

For a regional public healthcare organisation, I have analysed and improved their staff planning for nurses and doctors in the preventative child health care services across 14 locations.

We changed the local planning into a centralised model for staff rostering and appointment making. We cleaned base data, aligned working policies and opening hours. We developed and introduced a hands-on planning tool.

This resulted in central insight and improved control over productivity and capacity. And better decision making on the deployment of scarce resources and service availability.

A leading wholesaler in hair care products asked me to coordinate their consolidation of four warehouses across Europe into one, whilst at the same time automating some of their physical processes and introducing a new ERP WMS module.

We installed a central control room and created a pragmatic, Agile based, activity tracker, showing sequence, dependencies and progress of activities. We also used a structured review cycle.

 This resulted in project control, better  prioritisation decisions and early warnings for issue mitigation.

After experiencing major growth in imports and exports, this company found its cross-dock processes lacking alignment, and facilitating too many exceptions. Moreover, employees were experts on their individual parts, but nobody knew the details of the end-to-end processes.

We mapped out all import and export processes, detailing the critical handover points. This was translated into highly visual onboarding instructions. Moreover, the efforts allowed for beter capacity control and helped setting the basis for moving into a into a new facility.

When a rival company was acquired as part of the growth strategy of a global provider of logistics services, I was asked to facilitate the global collaboration between the stakeholders of one of the main product divisions.

Following mutual introductory interviews, I acted during an interim period as the neutral facilitator between the key players across various regions. We met frequently online, developed shared definitions and set the joint growth agenda.

At one of the major Dutch tourist destinations, I have lead a pilot project to test and measure in practice the effects of ticketing and crowd control measures to smoothen the visitor flows across time and place.

 

We deployed a network of counting sensors, introduced a temporary ticket scanning solution across the major attractions, and experimented with various sales models.

The resulting data was analysed and provided valuable insights for policy making on future operating models.

As a result of growing global tension, The Netherlands experienced an increase in the number of refugees seeking asylum, causing an overload at national facilities. Regions were asked to help provide capacity.

I was asked to work with local authorities and coordinate the onsite conversion activities for one of the additional emergency locations. In just a few weeks we converted an indoor athletics training centre into temporary shelter accommodation, including bedding and additional catering and sanitary facilities

A growing global provider of logistics services has identified client centricity as their core differentiator for achieving sustainable growth. Over the years I have been partnering with them to define and deliver this commercial vision.

I helped sharpen their ideas and have facilitated multiple team meetings. I also developed practical tools to help their sales force excel. Moreover, have I developed and delivered online and face-to-face tailor made trainings to their teams across the world on the topic of client centric value selling.

Leading large scale Covid-19 vaccination during Corona pandemic

During the Covid-19 pandemic I have lead the development, implementation, scaling and flexing of the vaccination campaign in one of the public health regions in The Netherlands.

From scratch and under immense time pressure, we realised two large scale locations and a variety of mobile solutions. We found, setup and outfitted locations, organised all activities, designed work procedures, trained staff, and implemented all logistics and capacity management.

 

At its peak we realised over 5,000 vaccination daily, working with a team of 800 FTE temporary staff, in two shifts.
